The Hamilton, Ontario, community is mourning the loss of Rayan (Ryan) Harb, who died at the age of 24 following a tragic three-vehicle collision. Rayan was a first-year Management Engineering student at the University of Waterloo, where he was admired for his dedication, strong work ethic, and collaborative spirit. Passionate about engineering, innovation, and business, he approached his studies with enthusiasm and a desire to create meaningful solutions that could benefit others.
He also served as a Business Development Specialist with the University of Waterloo Formula Electric Team, helping build partnerships and support the team’s long-term goals. Teammates remember him as a dependable leader who inspired others through his professionalism, positivity, and commitment to excellence.
Beyond academics, Rayan proudly served as a Marine Technician in the Royal Canadian Navy Reserve. His military service reflected his discipline, integrity, and commitment to serving Canada with honor. He balanced his academic and military responsibilities while remaining dedicated to personal growth and helping those around him. Rayan was also passionate about mentoring young people, encouraging them to pursue their goals with confidence and embrace opportunities for leadership and community involvement.
His passing has prompted an outpouring of heartfelt tributes celebrating his kindness, humility, and lasting impact. Although his life ended far too soon, Rayan (Ryan) Harb’s legacy of service, generosity, and determination will continue to inspire his family, friends, fellow students, and military colleagues for years to come.
